the International Meeting on Fully Three-Dimensional Image Reconstruction is dedicated to problems related to tomography in radiology and nuclear medicine. It is a friendly, informal, workshop-style meeting where most experts in this field come together. The participants, far more than hundred scientists, researchers and students, have the unique chance to present, discuss and understand the latest techniques of image reconstruction. The fact that nearly all major advances in tomographic image reconstruction have been first presented at the 3D meeting emphasizes the high relevance of the meeting. Fully 3D 2007 is the ninth in a successful series of biennial meetings.
To complement the Fully 3D meeting the first Workshop on High-Performance Image Reconstruction will review hardware-based image reconstruction acceleration techniques and provide insight in the latest developments. Presenters from university and industry will give detailed information about CBE-based, CPU-based, FPGA-based and GPU-based tomographic image reconstruction and discuss pros and cons of the various approaches.
We are happy about having this meeting at the island of Lindau at Lake Constance, Germany's largest and most beautiful lake. Please take the advantage and the time to tour the lake that is shared by the three countries Austria, Germany and Switzerland. We hope to see you in Lindau!
